LoL Champion Tier List 2026 — Best Picks Per Role

League of Legends Tier List → 2026 Meta 11 min read Last updated: 2026-05

Tier lists in League of Legends shift every patch. This is the 2026 meta snapshot: S-tier (must-pick / must-ban), A-tier (strong meta), B-tier (situational). Tiered by win rate × pick rate × climb-ability for solo queue. Pro play differs — this is solo Q meta, not LCS.

Counter-pick matrix — 5 key matchups

Counter-picking lane is the single biggest win condition in low elo. Use Champion Select to deny opponent's pick or counter directly. See LoL Top Lane Matchups for the full counter-pick guide.

Common Tier List-rank mistakes

  • Picking B-tier champions despite their lower win rate (chasing personal favorites over meta)
  • No counter-pick consideration in champion select
  • One-tricking outside the S-tier list (assuming "all picks are viable" is solo Q cope)
  • Following pro-play picks (Orianna in LCS ≠ Orianna in solo Q)
  • Ignoring patch notes — meta shifts every 2 weeks

Drill: 1 S-tier pick per role per week

Pick one S-tier champ from this list. Play 20 ranked games on it. Don't deviate. Track win rate per week. By month 4 you've mastered 5 S-tier picks across roles and you can flex into any role solo Q forces you into. This is the climbing path — not "play whatever champ I like."
